Gorilla tours by road are definitely rewarding with a lot to see along the way like: local fruit markets, the Equator imaginary line, subsistence farms, the long horned Ankole cows, the changing landscapes and the local people as they go about their daily business. This drive takes you to some of Uganda’s unmatched scenic views stretching from the central region to the western circuit which, receives every traveler with an astounding welcome. Gorilla tours are memorable experiences that remain with you for the rest of your life. On arrival we check-in to have dinner and enjoy a restful night in preparation for Gorilla tracking in the morning. We will be honored to be your hosts on this unforgettable safari experience.

Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi
Our driver/guide will pick you from your overnight hotel at about 6:45am to embark on the drive to Bwindi via Mbarara with a stopover at the Equator crossing for photography. Continue to make another stop at the famous cultural center at Igongo village Museum to learn about the Ankole culture and have Lunch at Igongo restaurant. Thereafter head to Bwindi, Uganda’s impenetrable forest filled with primates and many exotic birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (High end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Moderate facility) or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget facility) Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Today is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket,long pants drinking water, snacks, good comfortable hiking shoes/boots,sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent etc for a great experience. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates in the group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas which is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tours involve tracking which usually lasts between 2 and 8 hours but well worth every effort.
If time allows, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/ Community visit for a great opportunity to see how the indigenous people live. This delightful moment in Bwindi takes your to learn and take time to appreciate the life of the local people. Dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany Springs (High end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Moderate facility) or Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Bwindi-Kampala/Entebbe Airport
After your morning breakfast, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe through Queen Elizabeth National Park for an en-route game viewing and via Kasese-Fort Portal road for a chance to see more of the countryside and the famous foot hills of the Mountains of the moon. With a lunch stopover you will continue to be dropped off at your place of residence or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight home. Meal Plan B-L End of Service
