Unlike other Uganda safari experiences, this one gives you a golden opportunity to track the mountain Gorillas twice, meet the Batwa pygmies,have sufficient time for game driving and a full day of Chimpanzee habituation to learn their behavior pattern.

Day 1: Entebbe – Kampala

Arrive Entebbe International Airport to receive a warm meet and greet by a company representative for transfer to your overnight hotel in Kampala.

Dinner and overnight at: Serena Hotel (High end lodge) or Cassia Lodge (Moderate facility) or Eureka Place Hotel  (Budget facility)

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

Have breakfast and transfer to Murchison Falls National park, a must-see for variety of wildlife. We will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary a private ranch under Rhino Fund an organization working to restore Rhinos in Uganda’s wilderness. Track the rhinos at the sanctuary and have lunch before proceeding to the park.

Day 3: Murchison Falls (Game drive & Boat ride)

Start off very early today, head out for a game drive for chances to see some nocturnal animals and other wildlife like the big five – a great experience. The animals to look out for include:lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, giraffes, water and bush bucks,topi,oribis and more plus several bird species. Return to have late breakfast and relax at our accommodation till lunch.

Have lunch and thereafter go for a boat cruise along the River Nile closer to the bottom of the falls. On the boat cruise watch out for animals and birds along the river banks and take stunning photographs of the wildlife.

A hike to the top of the falls (approx. 1 hour) is possible starting off at the bottom of the falls to see where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to drop into a foaming pool about 44m below.

Day 4: Murchison Falls  – Lake Albert

Leave Murchison for Hoima on a relaxed drive through the great escapement of Biso for a great winding scenery of Lake Albert on a very relaxed drive before arriving to check in for dinner overnight at Lake Albert Safari Lodge (Only Lodge option)

Optional Activities at Lake Albert Include: Nature walk US$ 10.00, Fishing Village Tour US$ 20.00, Horseback riding per hour US$ 20.00, Game drive US$ 20.00 but with this you pay entrance fees to the park and extra gas fees for the game drive

Day 5: Lake Albert – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast drive to the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon with lunch en-route at a local hotel or restaurant along the way.

Day 6: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

Today is dedicated to the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. Start the day with an morning early breakfast – a packed lunch and you are off before dawn breaks into the forest. You meet your guide and you are off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before. Dawn is just breaking and the chimpanzee community you are going to be with the rest of the day is rising from their sleep in the nests.

Your day will be full, your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees and you will get to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features that make them stand apart from rest.

Besides everything described this places also hosts colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you – the setting is simply awesome.

Day 7: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth Park

After breakfast, head drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing en-route. The afternoon is dedicated to a guided nature walk in Maramgambo Forest which has a “Bat Cave” and a beautiful blue lake tucked beneath it shady canopy. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge (High lodge) or Enganzi Lodge (Moderate facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility)

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park

An early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Your game drive will last up to 4 hours; thereafter return to the lodge for refreshments and breakfast.

After lunch, a two hour boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel is an opportunity to encounter Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see a variety of countless bird species.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Leave for Bwindi through the Ishasha Sector; this takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Take on a game drive in Ishasha sector – in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to Bwindi forest National Park.

Dinner and overnight stay at Trackers Lodge (High end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge (Moderate facility) or Buhoma community Bandas (Budget facility)

Day 10: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Today is dedicated to the Gorilla tracking experience which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Please bring with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, hiking boots and packed lunch,a hat, sun screen and wear trousers to avoid scratches from the vegetation.

The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates in a group you have been booked to track. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours but it’s well worth the effort.

Time permitting, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/ Community visit for a great opportunity to see how the local people live. This delightful moment in Bwindi gives you the opportunity to meet and interact with the indigenous people.

Day 11: Bwindi Gorilla trekking for the second time

After breakfast, you will go for the second gorilla track but in another group returning in the afternoon for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge.

Day 12: Batwa Cultural experience

Today is dedicated for a Batwa experience where the Batwa demonstrate hunting techniques, gather honey, point out medicinal plants and demonstrate how to make bamboo cups.

The women of the community perform a sorrowful song which echoes and leaves guests with a moving sense of the richness of this fading culture.

Day 13: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Lake Mburo NP

After early breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park which is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland, Warthogs,buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. On the way from Bwindi we will stopover at Igongo cultural village, this is the place where the future meets the past. Learn more about the Ankole culture before proceeding to the park do to an en-route game drive to check in at your overnight accommodation.

Dinner overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge (high end lodge) or Mantana Tented Camp (Moderate facility) or Eagles’ Nest Camp

Day 14: Lake Mburo National Park- Entebbe – Departure

Early breakfast and  head out for a morning  bush walk for wildlife viewing accompanied by an armed ranger. This walk is refreshing and a good way to start off today. Return from this walk with bags ready embark on the return journey to Entebbe with a brief stop at the equator to have a look at possible souvenirs.  Have lunch in Entebbe town before proceeding to the Airport for outbound flight home.
