5 Days Fly-in Luxury Gorilla Tour

Day 1:  Arrive Uganda via Entebbe International Airport

You will be transferred to your overnight hotel in Entebbe town at 2 Friends Beach Hotel Entebbe  ( high end facility)

Meal plan: Dinner

Day 2; Entebbe – Kihihi Airstrip – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

A company representative will pick you up after a relaxed breakfast to embark on a local flight to Bwindi. Departing at 12:00 hours arriving Bwindi at about 14:40 hours for your gorilla tour of a life time.

Today its possible to go for an afternoon village walk to explore Bwindi’s local communities, if your stay is within Buhoma area. (the morning flight to Bwindi departs at about 07:00 am arriving at 08:45 am and the afternoon flight departs at 12:00 hours arriving Bwindi at 14:40 hours) Today its advisable to  relax and go to bed early in preparation for your eagerly awaited memorable meeting with the mountain gorillas the next day.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Today is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Take with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, wear jungle boots or comfortable covered walking shoes, and insect repellent. A sun hat and gloves will be real enhancers to your experience too.

The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates in the group you have been booked to track. Your lunch boxes will be ready as you exit the lodge in the morning and you will be reminded by your safari driver/guide to bring all the necessary gear for a great tracking experience. The tracking lasts between 2 and 8 hours but is well worth the effort.

If time allows, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/ Community visit for a great opportunity to see how the local people live. A chance to meet the gorilla’s human neighbors is a delightful moment and a great add on to your gorilla tour.

Day 4: Fly from Bwindi – Entebbe

Today we understand that you might need to sleep in, so we will save you from an early start. Take the afternoon flight to Entebbe departing Kihihi at 14:45 hours  to arrive Entebbe at about 16:15 hours.

The available flight times from Bwindi to Entebbe  from Kihihi Airstrip: depart 09:45 am arrive Entebbe at 11:25 am,  or depart at 11:40 am arrive Entebbe at 13:30 hours or depart Kihihi at 14:45 hours arrive Entebbe at 16:15 hours.

Note: And those with flights connecting out of Entebbe later in the evening on this day, may opt for a birding experience, and more relaxing soft activities before flying from Kihihi in the afternoon.

Day 5: Entebbe – flight home

You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight home!
