Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe – Kampala

Karibu! for your private Magical Uganda Safari. A warm meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport to transfer to your overnight hotel in Kampala. Check in at the hotel refresh and if your flight arrives in the day time you will have a chance to drive around Kampala city and acquire some local currency.

Dinner and overnight Serena Hotel (high end facility) or Cassia Lodge (mid-range) or Emmaus Guest House (budget facility)

Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up by your private Magical Uganda Safari driver/guide to transfer to Fort portal/Kibale National Park with lunch en-route. A stop to go for a guided scenic walk to the crater Lakes and a chance to interact with the locals. Listen to the interesting history about the craters and their importance to the community. The walk lasts 2 to 3 hours and takes you to see 3 crater lakes which are: Lake Nyabikere, Lake Nyamirima and Lake Nyinabulitwa with breath taking views. Bring your camera well charged to keep good memory of this amazing scenery.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi walk

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing about the park and chimpanzee rules and regulations you’ll be abiding to during the Magical Uganda Safari in Kibale.

Head into the tropical rain forest after the brief to search for the chimpanzees and other primates like the black and white Colubus, vervet monkeys, and grey cheeked mangabey among others.

Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening go to Bigodi wetland to search for the rare shoe bills, sitatungas and several other primates.

Day 4: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth Park

After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park with sightseeing and game viewing en-route on your Magical Uganda Safari.  Arrive to check in have lunch and head out for a two hour boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel for an opportunity to encounter schools of Hippopotamus, plus Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, and warthogs along channel’s banks on a lucky day.

This trip also enables visitors a chance to see a variety of countless bird species.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth Park – Bwindi

An early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile gives the Magical Uganda Safari visitors the opportunity to spot elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds.

Your game drive will last about 3 hours; and thereafter head to refresh, have breakfast and continue to Bwindi. With packed lunch drive via Ishasha Sector accompanied by an armed ranger for a chance to see the tree climbing lions.  This Magical Uganda Safari will take you through the unique western rift valley escarpment proceeding to Bwindi Forest National Park. Arrive to refresh rest and unwind in preparation for the next day’s long awaited gorilla trek.

Day 6: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Today is dedicated to Gorilla tracking which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. For an enhanced Magical Uganda Safari experience, please bring with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, comfortable covered walking shoes or hiking boots, a hat, insect repellent, sun screen and wear trousers to avoid scratches from the vegetation.

We will hand you over to the Uganda Wildlife Authority  ranger guides who will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates in the group you have been booked to track. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorillas, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 8 hours but it’s well worth the effort.

Time permitting, on return from the jungle you will go for a village Walk/ Community visit for a great opportunity to see how the local people live. This is one of the most delightful moments in Bwindi as you get to learn about the indigenous people that share neighborhoods with the rare mountain gorillas.

Day 7: Bwindi – Entebbe

After a relaxed breakfast start on the return journey to Entebbe by road setting off at 7:00am to arrive Entebbe late in the evening.
